We got a hamster. I am convinced that it is hyper active... All it does is to run round and round in its' wheel or sleep in its' little house. But still, it is kind of cute. It can climb the bars of the cage like a ladder and it loves oranges.
I'm not in the blogging mood today, so Merry Christmas and bye!

Hamster...
My younger sister had finally managed to persuade my father to buy for her a hamster. In fact, she had been pleading with my dad every weekend without fail to buy a hamster. My father probably could not bear to hear her whine and kick up a fuss every week and for the sake of future peace and quiet, gave in to her demands. How nasty... If I had known that pleading every week would result in getting what you want, I would have done it and gotten a dog. However, I am not a spoilt brat, so whining and throwing tantrums are definitely not my thing.
We will be getting the hamster on Friday as my father has taken leave on that day to bring my younger sister to appeal to secondary schools. My elder sister is also excited at the prospect of having a pet again after 3 long years. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, I am not excited at all. It probably got to do with the fact that I am not a fan of sawdust and rodents. But still, the hamster will be kept in the cage so I guess it's all right. Anyway, I got to go, so I shall stop blogging now...

Water leaking from the ceiling...
it is the holidays, and I have nothing to do besides homework. I left 80% of my homework undone, and I have to start working on them soon. However, I can't get in to the "do homework mood" right now so I shall blog instead.
When I was doing the week 8 journal on the small boy begging on the streets, I realized halfway through writing that my journal was being to sound like the story "The Little Match Girl". Feeling pissed off, I stopped writing, and when my cousin, Mei Xin, came over in the morning, I asked her to think of a suitable ending for my journal. She promptly replied that I should write about a stampede happening suddenly, causing the boy to be trampled to death. When I rejected that idea, she said that I should copy the story of "The Little Match Girl". When I rejected that idea too, we ended up brainstorming various bloody and gruesome deaths for the small boy. Although time was wasted, it was great fun talking rubbish and crap with my cousin.
And I forgot to mention that the heater in my house has sprung a leak, thus there will be no more hot baths for a while. I noticed that it was leaking yesterday when I was in the toilet. The toilet was wet, and thinking that my sisters were playing with water before I went in, I took no notice of it. At first, when a few drops of water fell on to me, I merely thought that my sisters had sprayed water on the ceiling too and the water were now dripping onto me. But when I noticed a small trickle of water flowing down the wall continuously, I looked up and realized that the water was coming from the ceiling (it is a "fake" ceiling and don't ask me to explain as I don't know how to). I thought I was going dotty and seeing things as water definitely do not come from there, so I went and told my elder sister. My father overheard me telling my sister that the water was coming from the ceiling and he went to check it out. After my father stuck his head through the hole in the fake ceiling, he found out that there was a leak and we evacuated the various knick-knacks that were stored in that hidey hole up in the ceiling.
In all, it was kind of fun yesterday despite not having any hot water to bath with for the next few days/weeks. Furthermore, I found out about the "loot" hidden in the ceiling. Due to the amount of homework left, I shall stop blogging now and trying to get some work done.

Irritating little fly!!! Shoo!!!
My obnoxious little sister is hovering around me like a fly. I swear she is trying to drive me crazy! Whenever I use the computer, she will come and sit on the chair behind me, trying to see which websites to go to to read manga or watch anime. I hate it! I don't even have any privacy in my own home anymore!
Thus, I have spent the previous two hours on NOTHING, because of the irritating fly behind me. I have wasted my computer time doing nothing that interest me as I can't go and read manga with her behind me. She will take note of the website and go there, get addicted to manga, fail all her exams, and it shall become my fault. I don't care if she reads this. I don't give a damn.
Now, when she is finally distracted by the television, watching lousy, idiotic Taiwan game shows, I have slightly more freedom, but not complete freedom, as the television is located next to the computer. Furthermore, my computer time is OVER, so I shall stop blogging now, go sulk in my room, and probably do something like sticking a voodoo doll of my sister full of pins or something.

My younger sister's PSLE results...
Today, my younger sister got her PSLE results. She got 233/300. Not bad... First in her class again too. Unfortunately, her marks did not hit the aggregate score for Chung Cheng High School (Main). She is going to appeal, but no one in my family has the slightest inkling of how exactly do we appeal. Do we appeal after she submit the form on her choice of school? Or do we appeal before submitting the form?
On a brighter note, my sister can take Higher Chinese next year in secondary school. She got an A* for chinese, A for both English and Science and sadly, a B in Math. However, at least she got an A*. Now, my sister is trying to persuade my parents to buy her a hamster despite missing the pre-arranged score by five marks. I won't mind a hamster. Provided that it does not stink or escape from its cage.
This is going to be a short post as I am busy. My sister wants to use the computer now so I shall end here.

More money that flew away and odd dreams...
I spent more of my money on books (actually, it should be "book", not "books", as I only bought one recently). I spent $24 on Necropolis, book four of The Power of Five series. The book looks horrible. It is green in colour, and it's not an eye-pleasing green either. I hate green books. Especially if all the sides of the book is green. So now, I have a green edged book among my collection. How lovely!
Out of the $24, $4 is from my sister (yes, I have to resort to borrowing money from my younger sister as I did not bring enough money. To tell the truth, I brought exactly zero dollars out on that fateful day) and $20 is loaned from my mother. However, I have not returned them the money yet, and hopefully, they will just forget about it. My little sister is currently gloating over the fact that she is first in class while I am only second(when I was in primary six), and I never fail to point out (almost everyday) the fact that my class was way better than hers. But still, I lost to her in terms of the prize received. She got $60 worth of book vouchers including those from her CCA, and model pupil award (sigh... The advantages of being in a average class. It's just so much easy to get rewards and prizes). Grrrrr... In my time, Kong Hwa wasn't so rich.
Anyway, nowadays, I get really odd dreams. For instance, on saturday/sunday night,I dreamt that I was at my grandmother's house, and she gave each of us (that is, my sisters and I) some White Rabbit sweets. My sisters then promptly started to eat the sweets. I watched my sisters chew on their sweets with obvious enjoyment and my thoughts drifted towards the fact that White Rabbit sweet was recently found to be contaminated with melamine. However, I could not resist the temptation and I unwrapped one of the sweets and ate it. I tried to chew it, and I realized that the sweet was as hard as rocks, and not at all soft like its meant to be. I wanted to ask my sisters whether are the sweets hard or not, but as can be seen from their moving jaws, they were not having any difficulties at all in chewing the sweets. Not wanting to be laughed at by my sisters, I had a few more tries in trying to chew the sweet, but to no avail. I was getting really pissed off and I woke up, to find that my teeth hurts as I was clenching my jaws tightly together. How ridiculous! A few more odd dreams were about Zhi Qi and Brenice getting hit by a watermelon (sorry about that, but I have no control over my dreams) that was being rolled by students of 2IT. Another one was consisted of me running in a big grassy field when suddenly, I was blown really high up in the air by the wind, and when I started to plummet down to earth, a parachute popped up behind me, causing me to float down slowly. One of the recent ones consisted of my school getting blown up by a bomb. That was my favourite dream as no school will mean no homework.
Anyway, I have to spend my computer time on other activities, so I shall end my blog entry here.

Money that flew away...
As you can see from the title, this blog entry is about me spending money. I am really horrible. I spent $62.60 on books in just three days. Furthermore, that sum of money is dug out of my own pocket. Sob... I am now practically bankrupt.
On the other hand, I managed to complete two sets of books. I am glad to announce that I have finally completed The Black Magician Trilogy much to the delight of my cousin who lives next door (she has been pestering me to borrow or buy the first book for months) and sadly, I have also completed The Twilight Saga much to the surprise of my cousin and friends. I also can't believe that me, the Twilight hater have spent $49.60 on Twilight, New Moon, and Breaking Dawn. And my reason for buying them despite not being a fan is simply because of the fact that I have the third book, Eclipse, along with a nasty habit of mine which is feeling that it is compulsory to have a complete set of books. And why do I have Eclipse in the first place? I shall explain now...
I had the third book ages ago as I needed it in a nasty plot which involves lending it to my cousin ( the one who lives next door) in return for her asking her elder sister to lend me a particular book, The High Lord. In the end, when I got home, I realized in horror that my cousin bought it as well, on the very same day. So, I ended up persuading my sister to buy The High Lord for me as a birthday present.
Sigh... Just thinking about that incident brings tears into my eyes. I am currently mourning the loss of my money that flew away. Although I could have waited for the price of Twilight, New Moon and Breaking Dawn to fall (that's unlikely, but one can always hope), I dare not wait, as to my absolute horror, I realized that the movie edition of the book is out. This means that the cover of the book is plastered all over with the ugly actor's/actress's face, and I feared that if I don't buy the books now, they will soon all be with the horrible movie edition cover and will not be able to match with the third book that I have. So I bought them all in a span of two days (I could not find New Moon on the first day), and out of the three books I bought, two are defected. Twilight was defected as the pages are kind of wavy due to the fact that the pages were not glued properly, and New Moon was defected as one of the corners of the book cover (at the back thankfully) had a crease caused by careless people folding it down. And I didn't spot those defects at first when i bought them as they were wrapped up in plastic thus it was hard to examine the book properly. But still, since I harbour no great love towards those two books, I shall not bother myself by running to two different shopping centres to change those two books.
Now, due to the lack of nothing to say (I could type about the shopping trip with my friends yesterday, but it shall take too long) I shall end my blog entry here and start to read manga.
